What a transfer changes compared with a taxi rank
A transfer is booked before you travel. The destination, the vehicle and the fare are settled while you are still planning the trip, not negotiated on the pavement with luggage in hand. Geneva Airport sits about 4 km from the city centre — the journey is short, but the arrangement is what makes it simple.
On arrival the driver meets you in the arrivals hall at the point named in your booking. Your flight is tracked, so an early landing or a two-hour delay moves the pickup rather than costing you the ride. A child seat is CHF 30 per seat per journey and must be requested at booking so it can be fitted before pickup. Which vehicle
A saloon or a business car carries up to three passengers; a van carries up to seven. Passenger count is not the only test — three people with four large cases or ski equipment are better served by a van. Leaving Geneva
A departure works backwards from your take-off time. Allow about 2 hours before an international flight and 1 h 30 before a European one — that is the airport allowance, not the drive. Booking and payment
A quote is free and commits you to nothing. Ask online, by phone or on WhatsApp, with the route, the date, the flight number and the number of passengers. Payment is by card on board — Visa, Mastercard, American Express — by Twint, in Swiss francs in cash, or by bank transfer for company accounts. Companies with regular journeys can open a corporate account.
