What a taxi actually costs in Geneva
Geneva is an expensive city to move around, and the metered taxi is the part visitors misjudge most often. A meter starts before you move and keeps running in traffic, so the same journey can cost very different amounts depending on the hour and the queue on the Pont du Mont-Blanc.
We work the other way round. You are told the price before the journey, and that price does not move if the motorway is blocked or your flight lands at midnight. The fare is per vehicle, not per person: four passengers pay once, which usually beats four train tickets plus the transfer at each end.

There is a taxi rank outside arrivals, and at quiet hours it works perfectly well. It is the busy hours that catch people out — the first bank holiday of the season, a Friday evening in December, three long-haul arrivals inside twenty minutes. A pre-booked car is waiting whatever the queue looks like.
Your flight is tracked
Give us your flight number when you book. If the plane is early, the driver is early; if it is delayed, the pickup moves with it and the fare does not change. You are not billed for an air traffic control decision.
Where the driver waits
In the arrivals hall, at the meeting point confirmed in your booking, with a sign bearing your name. From the terminal to the city centre takes about fifteen minutes outside peak hours — longer at the end of the afternoon.
Practical
Luggage, child seats and crossing into France
Luggage. A sedan takes three passengers with normal luggage. Beyond that — a family with ski bags, a group with hold suitcases — ask for the van, which seats up to seven. Tell us how many pieces when you book rather than at the kerb: it costs nothing to say, and it decides which car we send.
Child seats. Provided free on request, for every age, but they must be requested in advance. A driver cannot produce one on the spot. Tell us the child's age and the seat is fitted before pickup.
Crossing the border. Geneva sits against France, and some of the most requested destinations — Annecy, Chamonix, Megève, Morzine — are on the other side. Our drivers cross daily and the fare is the same fixed price, agreed in advance. Bring your passport or ID card; the rest is routine.
Paying. Cards are accepted in every vehicle, and you do not need Swiss francs in cash to take a taxi in Geneva. Corporate accounts with monthly invoicing are available for companies and hotels.
